The Most Beautiful Garden of Umbria!

Reason to celebrate at La Preghiera! On Tuesday, here at La Preghiera, www.lapreghiera.com , we had a little party with the staff and with some friends. In fact, we gave to our gardener, Angelo, a trophy as a prize for the most beautiful garden in Umbria!!! He’s a very gentle and kind man and he takes care of the garden with attention and devotion.

The gardens at La Preghiera have been carefully tended to create an oasis of calm and tranquillity, reflective of the time when the monks tended the land. Banks of rosemary, lavender and thyme stretch alongside the grassy pathways; hibiscus, acacia, and rose trees bloom and a gentle stream meanders through the sunken garden.
Laze on one of the elegant sun loungers under the branches of the acacia tree, or sit a while on a stone bench, found at different view points in the garden, simply absorbing the atmosphere of La Preghiera. Take afternoon tea under the shade of an umbrella at one of the tables alongside the pool area.

"My husband and I have just spent 5 fabulous nights at La Preghiera - and will definitely return. The staff, the rooms, the food is exceptional and the grounds are amazing. We immediately relaxed, (spent most of the time by the pool) and couldn't believe we'd discovered this little bit of heaven.
The location is perfect with lots of good italian restaurants nearby and if you have a car, it's within easy reach of nearby villages. It would have to be one of best holidays we've had and can't wait to go back soon."

If your dream is to have a very special wedding, set in the tranquillity of the Umbrian countryside, the Oratorio of La Preghiera in the grounds of the Monastery is a beautiful and unique location.
